Achievements in Sabre Fencing

  • Bronze medal at the European games in Poland (25 Jun 2023).
  • Became 30th in the world at Grand Prix in Tunis (15 Jan 2023).
  • Gold medal at the British National Championships (2019-2023).
  • Gold medal at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in Canberra (22 Nov 2018).
  • Beat legendary Olympian, Aldo Montano, at the European Championships in Novi Sad (18 June 2018).
  • Gold medal at the world largest FIE satellite competition (London 28 Oct 2017).
    William beat team-mate James Honeybone in the final of the competition which included contestants from all around the world. This moved William up to 58th senior in the World rankings.
  • 7th in World at Junior World Championships in Plovdiv (22 Apr 2017).
    In the team event William scored 13-5 against Lokhanov, the world's No 1. The team narrowly missed out on a medal, ending 4th in the world.

  • Part of "Team Cornwall", winners of 2011 Excalibur competition (Bath University 7/8 May 2011)
    William won 26 out of his 33 fights, many against adults.
